I agree w/ Mutant, totally. There have been a time or two, where I saw a Phal hybrid, & waited for the same reason that u have, (good, reasonable reasons, mixed w/ *a little* lack of confidence) & about a year or two later, when I felt comfortable w/ my basic Phal hybrid growing skills, they didn't make the same clone, & prob never would, b/c they r on to the next greatest thing (now, who knows, this Red Cat might be around for the next decade, but I dunno?) ...My point is, is that if u still like it/want it, (even with your new purchase
*which happens to us all, every now & then* Lol) then u should go ahead & get it! Just remember, if you're in doubt, as to if ur Phal needs watering, just wait one more day, or, in some cases even better, two days... b/c an under-watered orchid recovers
MUCH easier than an over-watered root rotted orchid! Lol alot of us have learned that the hard way! And as Mutant said, u have an entire library of knowledge right here @ ur fingertips!
Oh, & also, just to warn ya, we are *ALL* enablers to your new orchid addiction...
Muahahahahaa!
*But, honestly, Phalaenopsis hybrids r very easy orchids to grow, & flower, & pretty forgiving, read the Sticky thread "The Phal Abuse Ends Here" and u will be well on ur way to becoming a great parent to ur new 'chid(s)!
Sorry for rambling, I seem to be doing this alot today!
