Nice! It's interesting how the petals are green and the tips and fade to a lighter colour near the centre!

It is really different. When it was sent to me it had horrible roots. I am going to risk losing the newer blooms coming on the spike and give it kelp. I would rather save the plant since I really like the flowers

I agree. It will always bloom again for you if it has healthy roots. And the new blooms may still be fine in the end.

May I ask - how does giving it kelp affect the blooms? Sorry for my ignorance!

I am just worried that since the kelp stimulates growth that it might affect the buds or bloom length. The plant came with horrible roots and leathery leaves, so I am going to chance it to save the plant
