Equiwilson and fairytale are probably 2 of the most beautiful orchids I've seen.

I'm so in love, I want those two so badly now that I've seen them! So jealous!

Wow..... I like the fairy tale one...

Are these Phals then?
Same type of care as the more moth looking ones or do they need special care/light?
I want.... Hahaha

Default What are they planted in?

I have several noid mini phals, from a local farm stand, and they are currently in very tiny plastic pots, about maybe 2 inches tall, in moss. They look like they'd be suffocating, as there is algae all thru the moss. Should I put them in bark or something?

I love your little sister! I also like the second one, very cute! but I am still not a big fan of peloric forms. It has lots of cute little buds coming though!

I must be doing something wrong with equestris hybrids. Every time I buy them, the flowers always drop off like crazy and then only three or two flowers will stay open at a time. hmmm

I think they are fine as long as you water them carefully. If you are still concerned, then you may try take the plants out, loosen up (if tight) the moss a little bit, and put them back to their pots.

You could use bark, but plants with this small, even the small grade bark may dry out too fast and too much.
unless you are ready to mist the pots throughout the day, I don't think it is a good idea.
Small pots dry out fast enough even with moss.
and your little mini phals will show you how they don't like it. dropping of flowers and buds, wrinkly leaves...

I have been looking everywhere for an equestris 'Fairy Tales' and I can't find one. Anyone seen any sales of this orchid? It is sooo adorable and now I must have it
