Blooming Phals
Default Blooming Phals

I'm enjoying the "return" of the phals at the moment.
The Prince Leopard in the first picuture was bought in bloom in September with 5 flowers on the main spike with two branching spikes each with about 3 flowers.
One of the branching spikes grew a branching spike of its own shortly after all the flowers were gone.
I didn't expect too much out of it, yet I'm enjoying 7 larger flowers on that branch!
The presentation is rather reckless as I moved the pot around while buds were growing.

Tida Salu, second from the last picture, seems to be an ever bloomer. It just doesn't stop making buds. currently with sixe flowers and buds, but two of the old spike tips are showing signs of making more buds.

They're all beautiful! I especially like the small greenish white with the spike hanging in a natural position. That's very pretty.

Thank you, everyone!

Glad you all enjoy!

Except for the pure white& pure white with red lip that flower once a year around this time, all others were bought in bloom during the summer last year. and all are blooming again now!

Taida Salu had stopped for about one month in October ( within one or two weeks of purchase, I lost entire 50 something flowers on its double spikes with many branching, then rebounced!) and non stop ever since.

The green one everyone seems to love is simply called Sweetheart. I bought two, both in double spikes last summer. They both grew two nice leaves, but only one of them initiated a spike.
The spike grew along the underside of a leaf so I couldn't stake it up. I'm surprised I didn't break the spike while it was growing this way.

The other one that didn't make any spikes is now sending up a leaf again. hmmm
