Default Another new (noID) Phal.

So I saw a few of these really pretty white orchids with big blooms on sale at the orchid show last weekend. And I kinda wanted one, but I thought $35 was a little much. Then today I was bored and wandering throughout misc. stores and saw almost the same orchid at whole foods for only $19.99 I decided I would come back later on in the car to get it. So I went back and then I got indecisive because I couldn't decided between this cool coppery pinkish looking one and the white one. Than I saw this one in a seperate area with a few other BIG ones and I knew it was the one. Haha. So I brought it home, There's four different branches coming off the main spike with over 20 flower buds (so far) and it looks like more might be growing. I took some pictures, and some comparison pictures with my other two phals. flowers, which make them look like they are dwarfs or something. Lol. Again sorry the not so great image quality. It's hard to hold a Note II still with one hand.

This is probably gonna be the last one I'll be purchasing for a while, unless something REALLY makes me want it. Or if I win something in a raffle during the next Napa orchid meeting.

Beautiful!
I think everyone needs a classic white phal. I own two lol...

$20 for a NOID?
Yeesh... I'm happy that $8 is the average price for orchids in my area. I'd be so broke.

Yeah. Lol. I'm sure I could find somewhere cheaper. But I haven't really searched for somewhere.

Might sound bad but... I'd only pay $5 or less for a noid. Unless of course, it was just calling out to me, which I'm sure this one was doing to you.

Yeah, this one really caught my eye. I loved how big the flowers are and how many there are going to be.

Oh, Haha. I just thought this was funny, I was at the florist today with my mom to get some balloons, And they had a NOid phal. orchid pretty much identical to mine, maybe a little smaller. That they were trying to sell for $70... They had another kinda cool oncidium looking one, until I saw the price tag. It was $62. They had them set-up kind of cool with like a trellis type thing made of bamboo, and in some nice looking decorative pot. But I don't think I would ever spend that much on an orchid that doesn't have an ID.

Yeah, When I was at that orchid sale last weekend most of the plants that I saw were around the $15-30 range, at least for the more average ones. I think the only ones I bought there were under $15. The most I've spent on any of my orchids is $25 for the oncidium heaven scent "Sweet Baby" and that was from orchard, all of their orchids were $25
