I think I will follow your suggestions and change methods. Attached are two photos of how I've had it in water for more than a month. I used this method because I read a post on here that said it worked for someone else. But it does make sense that since there aren't enough roots to support the leaves, that it should be in a humid environment. This method isn't really working, so I'll set up the bag method and "water" the leaves also. Thanks for your help!

Just watch for rot and mold, I had that issue. I just cut it away, but I don't think there's enough of a base left for it. I'll try it either way, what's the worst that happens, it dies? It would have died from rot and no roots anyway, lol. It would probably help to dip it in a fungicide first to clear off any microbes that attached to it while it was in that cup. Dunk it in some KLN and either do the bag method or some people have suggested containers with half orchid bark mix and half sphag. Good luck!
