Are you getting them directly from Popow's website, or his ebay? The ebay plants are of better quality and since he posts photos of the exact plant that is for sale you can also decide for yourself on the quality. All my ebay purchases from him have been great healthy plants. I never bought from his website, partially because I have heard that the quality is hit or miss, but mostly because on ebay the plants are cheaper.
