Thanks Susanne.
I am so happy that I have found phal bellina- a fragrant phal that is so highly recommended by everyone here!
Now, time for more Christmas orchid shopping?

I am unable to buy anything from other parts of Aust., unless they are certified- there are only 3 certified orchid nurseries outside of WA. I usually have to pay an extra $20-$25 for the clearance certificate. What a pain in the b##!
So no ebay... nothing.
We have very strict quarantine laws in WA.

The good news is that I have found a Bellina (I think)!!!!
This is from our local orchid club member.
Here is my lastest shopping spree:

Phal violacea seedlings
Phal violacea 'Blue'
Phal philippense seedling
Doritis pulcherrima Var Chumpornensis
Phal Equestris

I just want to confirm with you that Phal violacea= Phal bellina.
Cheers,
Buds!

Go for it BUDs!
A blue violacea would be wonderful to have as would an equistris .. I have 2 of those little babies - they are such space savers

Hi Buds! There is actually a difference between P. violacea and P. bellina, the most notable one being color of the flower. Bellina has the nice green and pink flower, and is from Borneo and violacea is magenta and from Malaysia & Sumatra. They are both the same shape and size, and both are very fragrant. Hope this helps. The blue violaceas are beautiful! Congrats!
