I hate Noid Phaleonopsis, absolutely hate them. yet I cant restrain myself from buying every pretty one that looks my way....(Must be a guy thing). This beauty here is one of my oldest Phal Noids and one of my favourites. I find it has a lovely shape always, no matter how much I abuse it and always has multiple spikes. This year I have 2 spikes with eight blossoms/buds per spike. Flowers measure about 3.5" across.

I apologize for the shotty pictures...I have misplaced my camera so my smartphone will have to do

Is this really mini??? I just saw exactly the same flowers at the whole foods and it was a little smaller than the standard phal.

Anyway, how exactly do you abuse them? I would love to get double spikes on my phals but they never do!

Well I wouldn't call it mini, it is rather diminutive in comparison to most other standard Phals I have had in the past. Flowers are quite small for the size of the plant which may be why I seem to get multiple spikes on it.

As for the abuse, I am about the most forgetful person I know. I don't know how most of my plants live without shrivelling up and dying from neglect. I didn't even know this guy was in spike until the first flower opened...sad I know but neglect seems to work for me :/.
