It will definitely be interesting! Yungho Gelb Canary will be especially interesting to breed with because of the
micholitzii in the background. Phal.
micholitzii is a white species that actually inhibits the expression of colour in its hybrids. After a few generations of breeding away from the
micholitzii, you get some amazing colours. My favourite example, and the whole reason I love
micholitzii hybrids, is the fabulous hybrid Joy Spring Canary. JSC is a hybrid of Buena Jewel and Yungho Gelb Canary; both parents appear to be pretty much all white, yet because of the distant
micholitzii influence, and the colour from the
violacea and
amboinensis thats also in the background, you get amazing colours and patterns in Joy Spring Canary.
