southfacing window is too much light for the Phal even if its tinted; remember you are in SoCAL and the bright sun can be intimidating; these are not Vandas that love the bright sun....you may want to put those pots in a humidity tray since the AC in the office will dry them faster....water this plants every other day to allow the roots to dry but not thirsty=your weekly watering is not enough but this needs weekly weakly fertilizer....
at the moment: you may want to soak these plants for 30 minutes in fertilizer with water to boost moisture....then continue with a constant regimen of watering and fertilizer....

Water more... I have 5 phals in south facing un tinted windows down here in SoCal.
They need more than once a week watering.
They can the sun without problems but not without lots of water
