Sogo Grape in bloom again!
So this was red NOID until I found the tag hidden inside the potting media. How funny!
Anyways, I read that the red color intensifies during cooler season and it is so true.
After the initial blooms were spent, both spikes grew some more buds. One of them is now fully open emitting strong fragrance and another one has just popped open.
(shown in the first two pictures, sorry about the blurry images).
The color is much much darker than the darkest one when first bought (the bottom flower in the third pic) in August.
Then the subsquent floweres had these white markings all over on them, which looked very gross to me. lol

Interesting that they have the white markings on them. Still a beautiful flower but a Sogo Grape should be all dark red.

Beautiful flower. Nice to have scented Phals.
Although I do not have much experience with orchids yet, I am thinking may be the white is a response to change in environment/light/temp/humidity/orientation.

If you dont like it that much, I'll take it off your hands!! I love pretty much any Sogo variety as they tend to stay small yet produce great flowers.

Thank you all for nice comments!
Josh- I love this plant! the scent is just so good.
This plant is not small at all by the way.
The white markings only seems to appear
during hot season.
