Now, since I've found my brain and changed the resolution settings on my camera, I can take, maybe not better photos, but at least kind of close-ups.

I had this strange recollection of the photos being bigger a couple of years ago, and it turned out I was right. I have, for some mysterious and unknown reason, changed the settings from the highest to the lowest and I don't even know when I did it!

To celebrate my "new and improved" camera, I took some pictures of my Wiganiae.

Enjoy!

All buds are open! 34 flowers all in all and I'm so happy with it. The only thing about it is the ugly stake, but I didn't have any other that was long enough. :P

Thanks guys! I'm very proud of it, and since it's only its second blooming, it should put on more of a show when it has grown bigger.

It should be relatively easy to find in Europe, I know several German vendors have it. Look for Phal. Wiganiae, Phal. Philadelphia, Phal. Phal. Schilleriano-Stuartiana, they're all different names for this primary hybrid.

Same here, just love the leaves on this guy and its parents (I have a shilleriana and a stuartiana too).

Gorgeous!!! This is my favorite Phal, I always love seeing it in bloom! I got mine as a small plant though, so the spike is not as spectacular as yours. But each blooming it improves, but by increasing flower count, then last time it had one branch, and this year it has 2. The first buds opened over the weekend. Sadly about 6-7 buds blasted at an early stage, I don't know why.
