Phalaenopsis ' Lip None ' Male
Default Phalaenopsis ' Lip None '

An odd yet different Phal flower which came into bloom. On one of my Phalaenopsis.. If the whole plant was like this would you purchase it? I think the title would be a giveaway to this cultivar if it were to become one.

Is it just one of the flowers that looks like this?
No offense, but I'm not too fond of the look and I wouldn't buy it. lol

Yeah, I agree! It does not look complete, and hence I wouldn't buy it. Thank heavens it's only one flower

I once saw somewhere that a breeder was intentionally going for this. Looks odd to me, but I'm not used to it. Might be appealing to some. Tho as an occasional odd bloom, it's kind of cool

My Phal Sogo Lovely once had a couple of flowers like this, they were on the same side spike of the main one, the rest of the flowers were normal. I wouldn't get one that was all like that, the odd flower amongst normal ones is kind of interesting though.

I think someone would go for it. Look how popular pelorics are. Or a lot of breeders go for rounder and flatter flowers in various things (not to mention dogs and cats heads...)
