It's blooming again! So, guess where my username comes from?

Love this guy and the fact that it smells wonderful makes me like it even more.

Hey! I really like that! Its not a mutant, its doing its own thing. I like that in an orchid. Lovely color. Wish I had a smell-a-puter. I'll bet the fragrance is lovely.

Umm... Not sure what you mean, but it always looks like this when it blooms and I've had it for at least five years now. So far, it has never had a regular bloom so this peloric mutation is not a fluke in this case.

Here's its newest flower:

Thanks! I think it's very special indeed and couldn't leave it when I spotted it in a local supermarket, it had to follow me home.

It has turned out to be a survivor too, this after making it through "The Dark Years" here at home, when I didn't care properly for my plants, and the only ones that survived were a handful of Phals. Trial by fire, I think that's called.

Lovely color and fragrant too?! That's so neat! Never had a fragrant phal. Do you know it's name? Where did you buy it from?

Yup. Sure do, it's name is The Mutant. Just pulling your leg, it's a NoID that I bought at a local supermarket.

If you would like a fragrant Phal. go for either a violacea or bellina or a hybrid with any of these in it. There are several Phals that are fragrant, but I don't know which ones, except these two species.

I don't have any experience with the bellina, but the violacea sure smells delicious.
