Default Just ordered my first gigantea hybrid!

Hello I all got this awesome Gigantea hybrid from Big Leaf orchids
http://www.bigleaforchids.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=32

It's name is Phal (gigantea X LD's Bear Queen)
He said it won't be as big as a gigantea but still big. He said that it will have to be set in an inverted pot so it's leaves can droop downward. In 2-3 year though. It should bloom this spring/summer coming! What does he mean by an inverted pot?
* Note photo is an example of what it may look like borrowed from bigleaf orchids

I have this cross as well and shouldve bought more. He probably doesn't mean inverted as much as slightly angled, and you probably don't need to do this until it's got some size on it. Mine has about 10" wingspan and the leaves are only starting to droop. Good selection, hope these bloom out in crazy red/orange colors and spotted!

Ok that's good to know! I'm really excited about this plant!!!! I hope it looks like the pic, I know it's a hybrid so it will vary from plant to plant. Peter said that noveltys are hard to grade in first blooms because they are so young. They only get better with age. But if this is how the batch is blooming so far I can only imagine what it will do in the future! I see awards in its future don't you?
