this STILL has about 10 flowers spread over 3 spikes. Its an amazing bloomer....
I am going to repot this month, will have to cut those spikes. There is a weight in the pot to counterbalance with the leaves, its just so heavy. I will post photos when I do so because its a good example of an insurmountable problem - most of the roots are aerial.

any suggestions for repotting ?
I can't mount it as it would literally be the elephant.....on the wall.
As it is I have to use a counterweight to help balance the thing, it would probably rip the wall down.
I was thinking maybe a Conservatory, but that wouldn't be ideal.....for me....but I am open to it
I wouldn't lop the top off either !
I don't know about a bigger pot. Maybe a garbage can ?
It amazes me that it keeps on going and with no problems. No desiccated roots, no blemished leaves.
Leafspan is 21 inches. Length is 14 inches, including roots is also 21 inches. Lot of new root growth, no sign of any spikes but its a little early for them.

Good golly miss molly that thing is huge! Glad I don't have to re pot it. Your as bad as me in not re potting but mine were not looking so good, and I lost some I believe because I didn't re pot them.

Good luck with this one and I wish I had some wisdom for you but I don't.

I don't know whether you should repot it. But I wondered if you could carefully place it in one of those metal hanging pots with or without the coconut husk lining, and hang it from a bracket on the wall.

the problem with a bracket/ on the wall is that it is an indoors plant and there is no space or wall.
I repotted it into a 1.5 gallon pot, there are a lot of roots in the pot and in good condition too. I will have to water it carefully as that pot will take forever to dry out.

Why not just leave it as it is?
I wouldn't wanna disturb such a beautiful plant. It seems to be very glad sitting just like that. Why risk disturbing a happy phal?

And it's coming to year-end soon. Time for more spikes!
