Default Dtps. Purple Gem 'blue'

A premiere bloomer with its very first opened bloom. I'm so very pleased with this little primary hybrid (pulcherrima x equestris), love the colour and the shape, not to mention the gorgeous lip, and I'll update this thread as soon as it has more flowers opened.

Gorgeous, love the colour and shape. Really reminds me of both the pulcherrima and the equestris.

I thought pulcherrima at first look, then looked back and thought no equestris, then read your comment of what it actually was

Thanks guys! It has definitely claimed a place among my favourites (haven't they all?).

Haha! Yeah, it has the best of both species. It's too bad I didn't manage to capture the glittering on the petals/sepals, because it really does glitter! It looks like someone has sprinkled diamond dust all over it.
