Default NoID Baldans Kaleidoscope look-alike flowering again

I love this orchids, one of my favorite NoIDs.

This year the spike got it's tip stuck and as the spike grew it formed a loop with the tip stuck in the plant. I've heard most people who have had this say they broke it trying to free it, so I just left it. Eventually it freed it's self and very soon after the spike split in two, with one part heading out one side of the leaves, and the other heading out the other.

The first shot was earlier this month when it first started to open, the second was taken yesterday after more flowers opened and shows the effect of the two spikes. I think it looks quite cool with the flowers on both sides.

Thanks as usual to my hubby for the pics.

Thanks Gloria and Susie,

I've just made the decision that the second one replaces my desktop at work. Used to have a great one of one of my Cyms on there but decided to have a change

I know I said this on FB, but I just LOOOOVE the color of this!

And I am one who has broken a 'stuck' Phal spike, so I think you did the right thing letting it be, and I'm gonna file that info away for future reference.

Thanks Mike and Sonya,

Sonya, it got to be a pretty big loop before it finally freed itself, it was soooo tempting to try and have a go myself but I just kept leaving it. A side spike great while it was still tucked in and became as thick as the original. It was hidden under a leaf and I actually forgot about it for a while, then when I looked back it was free with the side spike going one way and the main spike mostly bent double but free and starting to grow the other way. It's mostly straightened by the time if opened, but sort of goes straight out towards the leaf, then suddenly kinks off to one side.
