Phal. Taida Sunshine...NOT!
This little guy came labeled as equestris x tetraspis (a.k.a. Taida Sunshine) but it's definitely not a Taida Sunshine. I have no idea what the cross is except that there's plenty of equestris in it. Even if it didn't turn out to be a primary hybrid I'm not disappointed because I love it.
The flower is not completely open in the pictures so there will be an update or two in the future.

Yep, I definitely don't see much, if none at all, influence from tetraspis. I think this is just a plain equestris.

It DOES look like a straight equestris, doesn't it? I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking so. I read the original add for this Phal. and it says the flowers are supposed to be 6cm (2.5") which they're not, they're approximately 2.5cm (1") across, just like an equestris. I'll wait for a bit to see its blooming habit and if its flowers wilt after the same amount of time as an equestris would, it might be pretty okay to say that it is a straight equestris.

I don't think it's straight equestris, because the lateral petals are cupped (celebensis/lindenii style) instead of reflexed. However, it doesn't look like the usual equestris X celebensis or equestris X lindenii.

As I wrote in my first post, the flower wasn't completely opened.
To give you guys something more to work with, I took two more pictures of it (with the flower fully opened this time) this morning. I still can't say whether it's a pure equestris or not but I do love it.

Same here, it feels a bit like I've actually gotten my equestris with an orange lip (I bought one which turned out to have no orange lip at all).
