Hey Everyone

I bought this little one as a bit of an adventure, as I new (more or less) what to expect from the parents, but not from the cross. Talk about an exercise in patience! I was so excited when I saw the little spike start, watching it develop was 100 times harder than waiting for the spike in the first place. I wasn't sure how big the spike would grow as it grew a little 'ball' of buds when it was an inch long, but it kept stretching and stretching itself until it, finally, started separating the buds out.

Only 5 buds are out a the moment, but, as it was finally dry outside, I took some snaps for you all The flowers are such a vibrant purple, especially with the frill on the edges, but what I really love is the blush of orange - hope you enjoy!

That is a beautiful flower. Tall elegant spike that carries several flowers. I like the vivid colors and the shapes and textures....

Thanks everyone I'm certainly very pleased and it was exciting to grow when I didn't know how the flowers would be! I've got another couple of plants (one phal and one paph) that I don't know how they'll be - adds to the fun
