Nice one Mervin, love the yellow phals with substance.
For anyone who doesn't know (including me!) Phal. JSC is Phal. Joy Spring Canary.
This can be a little confusing and see Phal often referred to in this manner instead of with the registered name. Hopefully it doesn't catch on with other orchid families. Note sure if anyone will know what Blc. MCR is!

Haha, I never thought of expanding that, as I knew what it meant! Since there are less phal species, there are less crosses in general compared to the Catt alliance, so its easier to remember abbreviations (especially the novelties). Over at Big Leaf Orchid Forum, which is dedicated to phals, you will usually see much more abbreviations in use. HOWEVER, if you were to have a forum of a good number of people interested in Catts and Catt breeding, I think abbreviations would arise.

Yes they are here Ben.
Had only one day to shop and I am off to New York tomorrow !
Anyway whats on offer wasn't great.
Lots of violacea Blue and a few of this and that.
Was planning to buy some giganteas crosses and luddes but none were available.
Except for Auspice Knight, only two really small ones to choose from, not good.

Dave, I'm guilty of doing this often. I guess that some of us just get used to seeing it abbreviated that way on other forums and don't realize that not everyone will know what we're talking about. Sorry!!
My guess for Blc MCR= Memoria Crispin Rosales.
