Default Phalaenopsis Blooming since January!

I have a Phalaenopsis, Addison Trail that has had the SAME blooms on it since January 29th! This is nearly five months that it has been in bloom. I did not know that individual flowers could last that long. It's amazing!

Such a pretty flower!! I inherited my Grandma's Orchid that blooms almost all year long. It's crazy how some blooms last months, and other for hardly any time at all. Looks great! Thanks for sharing!

Very nice. Your orchid must like whatever you are doing.

I've got at least two or three (hybrids) that I bought in bloom in November 2011 that are still in bloom and two I bought in January and still haven't lost a single bloom.

Thanks for the pictures. A couple of questions, first is that Phal planted in bark? Second, do you give it a drink of epsom salt to set the blooms?

My blooms don't last that long. But as has been pointed out, depending on what you are growing determines how long and often the Phals bloom.

It's planted in Sphagnum Moss and I give it orchid fertilizer about every two weeks. I water it when the moss is dry to the touch. I also mist it once in the morning. It is in a north-facing window and it sits on top of moist pebbles to increase the humidity. Hope this helps!

I have a Dtps Confetti Burst that has been flowering since Oct 2011. The flowers just keep on coming. Currently it has 2 seed capsules with another flower bud developing. Its in the genes as most of my other phals only flower max 3 months

that's awesome! I have heard of Phals holding blooms as much as six months - seems crazy. I get excited about Latouria Dens, and Cyms holding blooms 3-4 months

Nice Phals GreenGirl! My noid Phal is doing same thing, in bloom since I received it last Christmas 2011. I have not given my Phal any fertilizer yet, and I see similar to your plant it was planted on sphanum moss. Maybe I can try to do that as well, to give it some fertilizer..so far I have removed some of the moss, to give my plant some more aeration..temps getting higher in our area and running the ceiling fan for them too Most articles I read said not to give fertilizer when in bloom, that's why I withhold the fert..but it has been in bloom for a long time already...good to know from you that it will not be adversely affecting it so far. Thanks again!

Default Blooming Again

So, about a month ago, those last two blooms finally dropped, but now my orchid is blooming again! Here are some pictures of it.
