Phal. "Swing and a miss"
Or as it was bought as; Phal. Buena Jewel x equestris alba. I got this guy from Elsner and was expecting something like this but instead I got this:
It's a very healthy looking little Phal, but since I wanted something similar to what it looked like on Elsner's website, I'm now selling it on the Swedish forum. Hopefully it'll get a nice new home.

That just might be from temperature difference honestly.

Interesting. I have the same cross and now wondering what mine will look like in bloom. I don't mind if it looks like yours, still pretty.

Looks very nice, but I think you did get what you paid for, it's just that the color of Buena Jewel is coming through very strongly in your plant.
Have you contacted Elsner about it before rushing off to sell it? Like Josh says, it could be a temperature thing.

I actually like yours better than the photo on the website. But when you buy a seed grown cross you never know what you will get. The picture on his site is probably one that bloomed for him or from a different batch of the same cross. Why don't you like it enough to keep it?

I really like it too. As others have said in a seed cross you never know which characteristics will take after which parent most and I guess the Buena Jewel is coming out more in this one.

Thanks guys! I managed to open a window on it today so it took a tumble off the windowsill. Only the already dying leaf broke off, no other harm done (lucky me! ).

That's not impossible, but according to the knowledgeable people at the BLF, the colour on the Phal on Elsner's website doesn't seem possible with this cross. If they had used an equestris 'Blue Lip' though, it would've been a whole different matter apparently.
This is what might happen when newbies do online shopping.

Apparently I did.
Nah, can't be bothered really. It's easier to sell it. I'm a very lazy person at the moment.
