That's interesting about the Sogo Rose, and I think Orchids by Hausermann has one available. Is this one different from the flower you posted about here: Phal. Sogo Rose 'Sogo'.............. ?

not sure how you'd feel about ebay, but check these out

Doritaenopsis Leopard Prince 'New Seasons Red' BM/TOGA

Phalaenopsis Desert Dreams 'Maui Sunset' In Spike Orchid Plant | eBay

And then there's orchids.com aka Normans. You can narrow the search for reds only on the left side of the page.

I've had one of this cultivar for a couple years. A very hardy 2-spiker and may sometimes rebloom on same spikes after taking a break. Leaves are a dark green and never seems to shed any (I just counted 15 leaves). I bought mine locally, but I think Norman's usually has it listed. I don't have a pic handy and I'm down to 2 flowers on it now, but a couple months ago it had I think 14 flowers total, nicely lined up, shingled symmetrically on both sides of each spike.

Also search for threads at the Big Leaf forums for Fancy Free 'Scarlet Spring' (Aileen Stoops x Corning's Violet) and look for JimL's recent pics of it there. Hausermann's has this now in several pot sizes. I bought one last week and it's just starting to bud.

No, it's the same orchid. I know it looks kind of pink in the picture but it's really a dark red. Another good red I have is Phal. Lea Marie Salazar 'Red Dream'. Both phals are a dark red, kind of like a maroon color. If you're looking for more of a brighter red, I don't know of one like that.

I think I know what you mean about the pink. I always thought of my Sogo Rose as dark red but now that you mentioned it, it does have a little bit of pink hue in the background. I remember Phal. Lea Marie Salazar 'Red Dream' as being a little more red but it's not in bloom right now so I can't be sure.
