Anyone have a solution to keeping a phal with really long leaves manageable? I don't have the option of mounting.

Not much you can do really. Just let it do it's thing. Your idea of propping them up works just fine, or you can tilt the front of the pot up just a little. It's just what they do.

Haha, a 10 inch leaf span is medium sized. Just wait. Some of these can get really big... I've got a few that are growing proverbial legs out of their leaves.

not sure how i missed this thread jarad, but your jelly belly is awesome! it has thicker petals and sepals then other ive seen! where did you get it?

i have a huge amboinensis with at least a 20 inch leaf span. its pulling itself out of its pot, i just made a U out of wire and pushed in down into the pot as an anchor

Thanks Bob. I got this from Orchids Limited. I think it's preparing to set another spike as we speak, but the nubbin is a bit small to make a final call. It's probably a root. Lvoe this flower. Super fragrant

well i definitely want to get one! and when it blooms, you should set a pod on it (or send the pollen to me )! i have a feeling that this cross would be a really good parents
