Phal. Wiganiae (schilleriana x stuartiana)
This is one of my favorite Phals, a primary hybrid of two great species. My only complaint is that the blooms are always bunched very tightly together.
This is the Phal that I had posted about a few months back that got the spike munched off by my guinea pig. It was promising to be a big branching spike too. A few weeks after that the remaining part of the spike started 2 side spikes, which are now rewarding me with 5 blooms. Not much! Obviously the plant feels the same way, as it has now started a new spike, something it has never done in past bloomings. So hopefully this time around I'll get my lovely big spike!
If you are wondering where the 5th bloom is, it's hidden behind the lowest one.
I need to get better, brighter photos on a sunny day, today is dark and cloudy.

Yes, it's mottled like the parents (both of them are). While going through old pics to find one of the leaves, I noticed that the spotting on the lip is much much more intense this time. There are a lot more spots, very closely together. I put up a pic from a previous blooming in 2010 for comparison.
