Got another Lowe's score today. $4 for this little one. I want the variegated style but until I can afford it, this is just fine. They had 3 left and the other two had all pretty much bloomed out. This one has had 7 blooms either blast or fall off already. Looks like its first blooming too so itll be much stronger next time.

Thanks Bud. It's a young plant but the roots look great and it has a good amount of healthy leaves.

Well, its been a month and the last flower fell off last night. Yet, the panicle is still green and the main branch still shows signs of flowering. Im not sure if I should cut it so it will go into vegetative mode or not. The roots are all super healthy but I'd rather get a much better bloom next winter than prolong this one.

What do you guys and gals think?

I actually have a mini phal that looks almost -if not completely- identical to that (my avatar, but also below). I've had mine about 6 months, but cut off the spike when he finished blooming because he wasn't in great conditions (roommate didn't know how to take care of plants, so he got almost no sun whenever I wasn't around).

I would say, if you wanted it to rebloom, just leave it be. If it wants to, it will, if it doesn't then the spike will just dry up. I can't wait for mine to rebloom, and its trying.

Yeah I'd let it be. If the plant doesn't want the spike it'll get rid of it. If you see signs of it turning south on you then cut it off otherwise you're fine.
