I realized to my big astonishment that I've completely forgotten to show you guys some pictures of my little peloric that is so loyally blooming again.
I spotted this at my local supermarket one day and since I had never seen a peloric chid before I just
had to have it! The colour is nothing special, it's more that typically mass-produced washed out mauve that I'm not particularly fond of, but the
shape!
I don't know how long I've had it but it's somewhere between three to five years and I think it has bloomed every year since I bought it. It has always had small leaves, but it's no mini Phal since it's not compact enough and the flowers are too large.
This year I re-potted it for the first time since I bought it (I did it while it bloomed) and now the reward has come; a continuing growth of the spike.
It's a bit hard to tell in the photos, but there's actually already a new bud forming. I'm soooo glad I decided to start to care properly for my Phals!
Oh, I forgot to mention - it has a delicate rose fragrance which is very enjoyable.
