Phal Noid - Similar to Brother Sara Gold
This is one of my favourite NoID phals. It has a lot of similarity to Brother Sara Gold including the waxy heavy substance flowers. It's a vigorous grower with thick strong roots and large thick leaves.
The first pic was taken a couple of days ago, the second a few days before that when there was only one flower open.

What a cutie! Photos courtesy of hubby I presume? He's getting to be quite a photographer!
I also have a Brother Sara Gold look a like, which hasn't bloomed in nearly 3 years. It was just sulking for some reason, and so it was a pleasant surprise to discover a spike growing this week!

That's cool Camille, glad yours is spiking too. I thought I had remembered you had a look-alike too. It was you who first suggested to me that mine looked like Brother Sara Gold.
Yes photos are hubby's again. If left to me I often don't get around to taking them before the flowers are gone but he keeps grabbing the camera when he realises something new is in bloom. He really is enjoying the photography which is good with me as I get nice shots of my flowers

Sounds like you two are the perfect balance when it comes to orchids.
I just checked, my noid last bloomed in Jan 2009, so it's actually been OVER 3 years now!! I hope the spike develops properly, it has started one shortly after blooming, but it stalled out completely when it was 10cm tall. It did nothing for a year, and then dried out.

Gorgeous! I love the gradient color. I have one similar but not as vibrant in color as yours. Wonderful photos.

Lovely bloom, Rosie! Brother Sara Gold is one of my favourites too but I unfortunately don't have one yet!

Love it! Brother Sara Gold is one of the prettiest Phals ever, in my opinion, and yours is nothing short.
