Smile My friend's Noid

I don't know if it's alright to do this but I hope it is since I want to share this Noid with you. This in not my Phal but my greatest friend's. I usually don't like large blooming Phals but for this one I'll make an exception.

I don't know hove long she has had it but at least a couple of years anyway.

It's now blooming and I took several photos of it yesterday while visiting her, but the only photo worth showing is the one below.

Enjoy!

What a gorgeous Phal! There are always exceptions among the orchids you don't like.

Thank you all for your nice comments! I've uploaded another picture showing the entire stem (is this the right term?). It's so pretty.

I've forwarded your comments to her and she's very pleased. I'm trying to get her to join OB too, so she can partake in the knowledge and nice atmosphere here.

"Spike" would be the term, rather than stem.

Wow, mutant, you have gone from junior to senior member in record time!

'Spike' is our usual everyday term that everyone uses here, but the proper botanical term for it is inflorescence.

Thank you both Connie and Camille for informing me of the correct use of both 'spike' and inflorescence.

To answer your comment about me becoming a senior member in no time Connie... Well... *coughs* I'm a bit too
active here and spam OB with a lot of unnecessary posts.

I blame you guys for being too nice to newbies (and other members in general)! In other words, you brought this upon yourselves.
