Phal. celebensis
Default Phal. celebensis

This is the first species phal I ever got. I love the leaves. It blooms twice a year for me.

I like the blue honker on this one. How big is the plant/flowers? Is it small like equestris?

Nice one. How many flowers did you get on that one spike?

Here are some photos from that same spike before all the blooms opened. If I remember correctly, I think the final flower count was 37.

37! Very nice. Wood basket with a small amount of moss...........are you growing in a greenhouse?

Recently picked up a Phal. schilleriana sib cross and love those silver-green mottled leaf patterns.

Oscar, I grow indoors. The celebensis hangs about 3-4 feet away from a Northwest facing window, so it doesn't get direct sun, but it's bright enough to keep the plant happy and blooming.

I have 2 schills as well, but I wasn't able to give them a cool rest this past winter so they didn't bloom But I would grow those schills just for the cool leaves.

Marcus I love how the flowers are arranged on the spike. And the flowers are great too!
