Such great Chrisna's!!! Some orchids (most?) will have different coloured blooms depending on the temperature when they were developing. My Phal. speciosa v. christiana (tetraspis 'C#1') bloomed with the regular random red colours in the summer, yet so far this winter's two blooms have been pure white.

So I just looked up the parents, and its (Timothy Christopher x Yungho Gelb Canary). I have no clue where I got the idea that this 'chid was aneuploid.

My Chrisna opened up last night... Check it out...most white...cream in color but you can see the slightest flecks of color. I suppose this plant changes easily with temp.



Compare it to the pic I posted above. Crazy, huh?

Very, that amazes me. This is the third time she has bloomed for me and they have all been the same. I do not have a way to keep the temps real constant. But, they don't get way out of whack either.
