Thanks Terri, jrod, Brad, Ben, Camille and Rosie for looking and your nice comments!
Brad, try looking at Big Leaf Orchids. Peter has several listed.
Ben, was sold as ‘R1’. I’m thinking this was Peters ‘Remake 1’, will have to ask to be sure. Thank you for saying that it looks like ‘Rainbow World’, I take that as a high compliment coming from you with the beauties that YOU have.
Again thanks everyone for looking and glad you enjoyed!!

Yeah, it does look similar to 'Rainbow World', but it has more red and a more orangey base tone than this one. Regardless, this is one awesome Phal!!!

Thanks for the compliments Ryan, Bud and you too again Cody.
Yes I am very proud and pleased that this has bloomed so well for me. It has three buds all of which are open now and the smell is delightful!

Hi Judi,
Great job flowering this. You remembered it correct that 'R1' is a seedling, from a remake by Joseph Wu. I bought flasks years ago because the overall quality of this hybrid is good. This flower may look like 'Orchid World' but it is not. Because this is a seedling, and I don't have another one, you are free to change this cultivar to 'Judi' or whatever you like.
FWIW - most of the JSC seedlings are light yellow like its parents, Phal Yungho Gelb Canary 'Joseph Wu'. After seeing many with various degree of yellow, I preferences are ones with multiple colors.
As Ben said, growing condition can cause the flower to have different look. Here is what it looked like from last year
Phal Joy Spring Canary 'Rainbow World' has larger flower size, rounder petals - great flower form, and color is better. If both flowers are in bloom, it would be easier to tell them apart.
Here is a picture of 'Rainbow World'
