Couldn't help myself
I was walking thur Home Depot and of course I had to see if the new (different) Orchids came in. I found this compact Dor. chumpornensis. Best thing it is not pink or purple. Because it is in the Phal. family I assume that it needs the same care right?

Wow nice find! I wish my local Home Depot had orchids like that! I am usually to scared to buy from places like that anyways since the people caring for them at the store usually don't know what they are doing.

Dave,
I'm surprised to see this, My first flower on this just opened up overnite - Aren't they the sweet lil blooms
I enjoy growing these Doritis - easy care, I keep all 3 in sphag and coarse rok, upper end of light, good drainage, let dry slightly inbetween watering. With very high lighting, the leaves will become very red.
I'm sure you will like growing this one

It is D. pulcherrima by most people's reckoning...
This is one of my favorites in my collection. I have several forms, including this one in a clone called "4D Splash" (one that Klehms used to use for breeding). You can grow it like a phal. For me, it grows really well in a basket, hanging a bit high in the greenhouse. Not a massive dose of light, but more than most of my phals. A well grown plant (assuming mine is well grown) will form a nice clump of keikis and will have lots and lots of spikes when in bloom.
I'm trying some pieces mounted on cork, I think it will work well.

Hi Rob, Thanks for the info. Sorry for what might be a dumb question. Is there a reason why the tag reads Dor. chumpornensis? It seems so overwhelming just to learn one name. Dam 70's
