Trouble Understanding Plant Label
I picked this guy up last year and never looked at the label. I am, just, getting around to cataloging him. It reads: Phal. ORCHID WORLD = Phal. Malibu Imp. #1 x Phal. Deventeriana 'Treva', AM/AOS. I assume that it didn't have a name when the label was printed. If that assumption is correct how do you find out what his name is? If the assumption is wrong then where do I go?

It means that your Phal's name is Phal. Orchid World, and the parents are (Phal. Malibu Imp '#1' x Phal. Deventeriana 'Treva' AM/AOS) Lovely little phal!

I have never seen a label with the = sign as opposed to ().

That cross does make the hybrid Orchid World. I don't usually see an = sign either but I checked in Orchidwiz and it is a legitimate hybrid name. Your Phal looks similar to the ones shown in Orchidwiz also but the others seem to have a bit more colour in their spots. It might just be your photo tho and hybrids don't always look identical unless cloned.
Here is a link with the OrchidWiz page of your orchid Phal. Orchid World.

Phal. Orchid World has (the last time I checked) the most AOS awards of any Phalaenopsis, with about 100 flower quality awards.

And the most memorable is probably 'Bonnie Vasquez'.

I found this guy at a small grocery / garden center in NC. He was on sale and in great shape.
