misting the buds, the only potential harm it may cause it the fungal spots, which makes the flower ugly. This can be prevented with good ventilation or low humidity level though.
In the nature, orchid flowers are less likely affect by fungal attack because orchids grow in the open air with constant air movement around them. They are not free from problems in the nature. many of them look beat up due to natural disaster inclduing rain lol and bugs and such.
We keep the plants nice and pretty with our care in the home setting or even greenhouse setting.
