Thanks guys and gals In the past, I've never really taken to yellow flowers (or dotted ones comes to think of it!) but the last couple of years has seen me acquire a few and I'm glad I did. Like you say, they are cheerful and give a nice contrast when a few are out at the same time

Aw I'll try not to be too much of a stranger from now! (at least I won't be commuting to London for 4weeks after this week, so that'll free up some time/ energy *hooray*)

Beautiful! What a wonderful array of colors during winter!
I used to not like the spotted ones, too. I'm still very picky. They have to have the "right" kind and density of spotting. I especially like Pebble Beach.

I too am having a burst of flowering phals. My Schilleriana, Yu Pin Pearl, Amadeus, Tri lips and Kaleidoscope are mostly in flower but a few buds have still to open on a couple of them. Well done, Jenny!

Thanks Evan I would like one with big splodgy dots (like phal salsa) rather than little spots, but I haven't come across one yet. That's probably the only type of phal missing from my collection that I'd like - but I can be patient
Thanks Kelo Sounds like your kitchen is the place to be (assuming they're all in there!) Not all the buds are open on these guys yet, but I thought I'd take the chance to snap them while I could dip outside for the pics. Hope you're keeping well

Excellent Jenny. Your's are much farther ahead of mine. Mine have spikes anywhere from 12" to just a nubbin, but no buds yet. We did have an unusally warm fall (70 degrees F in October!). That's probably why all of mine are so late. On the positive side that means the flowers will still look pretty good by the time our show rolls around in April.
