Really, a month? I sniffed first couple days at different time of day, didn't detect any fragrance and disappointed stopped sniffing.
Thanks Lagoon, I will try again in a couple weeks .
Please post your pictures. I find this one hard to capture real color. Here are some more from different angles:

Yep, It took that long, crazy eh?! It could have even been longer because I did loose interest for a number of days. I even woke up a couple of times during the weee hrs of the nite and still nothing. I had no idea that any orchid could take that long to scent itself.
I still think its strange
LOL at the photos taking of this one, I agree with you completely, tough one for sure. But I think if we keep trying we'll both get better at it. The flowers are small that certainly doesn't help
I've got a couple of photos, I hope you don't mind me placing them in you're thread?, its kinda fun to compare.
I will take a few more pics before the weekend - then cut the spike and allow it to resume the growth of the leaves. This plant is still small, don't wanna zap too much energy out of it.
..... and the pics - Thanks for looking

Great pictures! Yours looks a bit darker and deeper in color, mine seems more pale. Maybe mine will become darker with time?
Did you get yours from Kingfisher Orchids?
I want to cut spike too so the plant will grow stronger.

Nice flower. On a mature plant, it will put out tons of them.

Thanks Orchideya! I did yes. Patrick has some real wonderful phals
I don't know if any of ours will daken as they mature, just haven't had it long enough to know yet. But there does seem to be some that are daker then mine. I think it was Jarad's KR that was deeper in colour.
Ben, Are you growing this one to?
Mine is still fairly small and it does pack out the blooms already, so looking forward to the future blossoms aswell.
Patrick said it does keiki at the ends of the spikes. It'll be a nice plant to share within time.

No, but I'm familiar with the cross. They all do this. You'll enjoy it.

Ooo!!!!! If you two are going to cut the spikes, would you mind sending me some pollen? There's no sense in letting it go to waste when there is someone out there (me) who will use it.

Sure. I just want to wait few more weeks to see if scent will appear on mine as Lagoon mentioned. I have no idea how to extract pollen from the bloom, but I can send you a whole flower on the spike, would it work? Are freezing temps ok to send it now?

I think it would he fine if you just wrapped the flower in a bunch of toilet paper and mailed it like that. I don't think the cold temps should do too much harm.
