I have this one also. When I bought it it had 3 plants in a tiny 2" pot. My friend got one at the same time and hers had 2 in the pot. I didn't notice any doggie breath at all, but it was a quick grower.

Yeh, no doggy breath here yet and I keep checking ! There were 2 in with mine so I donated to our orchid club and auctioned it off for $5 !

Very pretty! Although I prefer species, I do admire hybrids also.

I'm the same, Eric, this one was a gift and I will most likely continue the trend !!! I'll donate it to our club's auction, and one of our newbies will get a good deal !!!

I got one of these as my first orchid... and I had no idea what I was in for! That said, mine doesn't have a fragrance at all. If it had smelled of doggy breath I might have fewer orchids now

I'm thinking maybe my friend's dog, unbeknownst to her, peed near it ! I've had many replies like yours that said the same thing, no fragrance ! I've been checking mine daily and, likewise, no smell !

Was reading through these and saw someone say theirs is sending out buds on a spike that had already bloomed. Mine is almost done blooming and alas, the end of the spike is starting to grow again. Not a side spike, but an elongation of what is already going on. The new growth is more reddish than the older part. Also has the tiny beginning of at least one basal keiki.
If I stick my nose in it, it kind of smells meh, but not from far away. I blame any bad smells in my home on our trash can anyway. It stanks.
