As promised when it spiked, I took some pictures of the flowers. This is a cross between Dpts. pulcherima 'Blue' and Phal. lindenii. The pictures don't capture the iridescence of the petals unfortunately. This is the 1st time blooming for me.

Thats a beautiful flower..the color, texture, form and the way you presented it is amazing. Its a happy healthy plant.

Very nice, I think they call that a diamond texture. Look at it with a 5x glass and it's awesome !!!

Thank you all for the encouraging comments. I have looked at the flowers many time through a magnifying glass and in sunlight. After seeing that splendor, the pictures look disappointing to me. My phal. lindenii has started to spike now, and I'm waiting to see if the flowers are as sparkling as these.
