Aw man! My corona blooms blasted. Dang! The spike seems fine though and everyone has been moved under the lights in the basement. Better enviro control there.

Sorry to hear that.

Don't you hate it when that happens?
Bud blasting happened quite a few times to me when I bought phals during cold seasons. My apartment isn't that cold in the winter and the humidity is quite ok, but some phals get shocked in my apartment more than others when they first move in. lol

Especially the little ones. I bought so many and they all lost blooms within days after bringing them in here. I finally managed to have one mini with zero blasting (how cool is that?!!) and two more mini with half the blooms gone, but that's stilll better than losing all, right?

Anyways, I have two tolumnia to give away. Genting Sunray and Popoki Mitzi. both are out of bloom now, but they are growing new fans.

I emailed and sent pics of my Talin phal to orchids.com and never got a response. It is unlikely I'll get any satisfaction from these guys now but with the holidays I was unable to follow up with a call-- but today I will. Wish me luck! My Talin phal had next to no roots, btw-- really disappointed in this one. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Reporting my experience with orchids.com customer service today. I called specifically about the gigantea hybrid Talin lion. I told her who I was and she pretty much knew right away and it was only a minute or two of her Researching and she came back and said they'd send out the replacement plant this week! Wow! Their email support is not timely, and I'm sure they're very busy, but on the phone they were super nice. So thanks orchids.com! Yet to see if the replacement is any good but at least they're giving the transaction another shot.

that is great to hear. I haven't bought anything from them yet but I created a long list of what I want from their website long time ago, lol

I guess I will give it a shot once the weather warms up.

Well no plant... They said it would ship Friday and it's Wednesday and nothing. I plan on giving them until Friday. I figure they're probably busy catching up with orders over the holidays.
