Supermarket rescue Mini Phal
It really is criminal... what's done to these plants!
Here is the pot that it was stuck in. Note ONE drainage hole in the bottom...
Which does THIS to the roots! Poor things!
And, of course, it was planted in sphag... Here's all the rotten stuff that finally got it out of...
There is no way that this plant would have had a chance at survival! And some poor person would think that they just couldn't grow orchids because of it.... So sad!

We've GOT to get you a orchid police badge!
So glad you came to it's rescue. . .it was victimized, tramatized and left unsupervised.

Gwen, The worst part was... this was one of the 'new' ones... not one that was marked down! Although the ones that were on sale, were full sized plants growing in bark, at least....
It would have been a real crime to let a beauty like this rot away!!!

Thanks, Gwen! I'm so happy this one, at least, was saved.
Judi, It was Sainbury's... and its not their fault, really, it is whoever supplied these plants. While peeling away the soggy sphag, I found two of the baby leaves stuck in there as well... so this poor plant has been stuck in this mess for more than a little while. Grrr....
I love the pattern, and yes, Dorothy, I am amazed at how dark and rich the colour is!! I'm also really in love with the lip! What a great lip its got!
Heck, I'm in love with the whole thing....
