Doritaenopsis Kenneth Schubert 'Blue'
This is another keeper I got at Home Depot in Sept '05 and I waited 4 years and 9 months for it to bloom for me ! It started in August 2010 and hasn't stopped yet !

Beautiful!!! I've never seen gorgeous plants like that at any Big Box stores, anywhere. Lucky lucky!

I've found some nice (and named) orchids at the hardware store (!), and Trader Joe's (tho Phals are usually noids) - HD only has run of the mill noid phals tho - and I certainly haven't ever seen anything like this in a store
I love these blue Dtps!

Actually since a month ago the garden center near me is starting to sell orchids from a grower who actually puts the names on the pot labels of some of them. Phals and Catts don't get named, but most Oncs and their intergenerics are labeled. Nice change.  Saw a Sharry Baby last week but for some reason I didn't buy it....
