Spike has only 2 blooms

My phal has only 2 blooms it was growing really fast now it slowed down a lot. It's a mini. With all the other Phal's I have had there where at least 5 blooms. Should I stop feeding it and start giving it blooming fertilizer? The picture is about a week old the noids are bigger but noting else has grown.

I'm not sure that puppy has quit forming buds. I think I see another bud below the terminal bud. It can happen with Phals that they start out like gang-busters then slow while flowers develope. Be thankful it's not a Brassia or Paph!

By the way, Phals can be frustrating sometimes in that they might send out long spikes with lots of blooms, short spikes with a few blooms, they may respike from the old spike, or not. If there is some way to assure consistency, I'd sure like to hear about it.
