I picked this lovely up at Lowes a few weeks ago. I was just going for moss, but when I saw this I couldn't resist. I can't take credit for it, but wanted to share it anyway.

The harlequin Phals are all quite interesting. It's funny that they all started out as a genetic mutation while a lab was cloning P. Golden Peoker. Another reason not to buy clones, not all of them come out looking exactly like the original plant.

I love these, I wish they were in our local stores! Reminds me of jam and custard definitely at the top of my Phal wish list atm, has anyone seen them in uk stores yet?

Before this one I had only seen white and burgundy harlequins. When I saw this ones lemon yellow I had to have her. Too bad she doesn't have a name. I think I'll call her Suzy. lol

I think the best thing about harlequin Phals is that you never know from year to year and flower to flower what they are going to look like other than some spotted combination of the original colors.

I know they exist in Europe, because I've seen them in dutch shops. So they're bound to turn up in the UK once in a while. Dunno if it was a coincidence, but I only saw them in the spring, around Easter.

Phalaenopsis Yu Pin 'Natsume' superb acid yellow flower with deep cherry red splodges in random places! is similar but more yellow, more custard, less jam!
