I've been eye-ing this guy for about a month now and today the price was $10 so I went ahead and bought him.
Even though he has so many blooms would it be alright to repot him? Almost all the roots are out of the pot anyway and he falls out of it if he isn't held up.

Never even looked at your 'mess'!! I would recommend re-potting now. If you don't disturb it terribly it shouldn't hurt the flowers. Many Phals come potted with a wet tight ball of moss in the very centre that never dries out and causes root rot. So every single one I get, is taken out of the pot and inspected as soon as it comes home. sometimes I just remove the wet moss and slip it back into it.s pot, but in your case, it looks like it could use a slightly bigger pot or some re-arranging. The air roots won't be too happy if you put them in the pot so try to leave most of them out. It looks like some of them curving around the top of the soil could be airily potted and they should be OK.

What a great color! Go ahead and repot, shouldn't bother the blooms too much. But more important to get it set up in a healthy new pot than to retain the blooms a little longer.

Alright thanks! I ask because the last one I wanted to repot everyone told me to wait until the next spring. :P But I'll go do that right now.

I kinda like the look of all those roots, very arty XD I love the phal colour too, such a soft, pretty pink.
