I'm sorry Gin! Are you going to wait and see what happens with it?

RIP. Phal . Female
Question Pardon my ignorance, but...

What is a terminal spike? I've never seen one. It's the death of a plant?

I hope you wait it out Gin. It should be pretty interesting to see what happeneds.

In the mean time, buy another orchid(s) to make yourself feel better

Default Wow that's weird

So what is a terminal growth? It looks like the birth of an alien.

Gin, will this terminal spike with the leaves eventually become a new plant?

Default Leaves cut on top Is this terminal too?

I bought a discounted beautiful smelling yellow Phal Noid. The leaves had been cut on the crown. In other words the top leaves were cut off and the bottom leaves were left. It has a flowering spike now. I'm hoping it will grow a keiki and that's why I bought it anyway. It has large thick roots but I wonder what will happen. Is this like a terminal diagnosis?
