Phal. Luecadia Sunset.
I posted this plants previous bloom a few months ago, but the flower was quite reflexed, adn the newly opened one was damaged, so I had to wait to post a new picture, so here it is!
Phal. Luecadia Sunset. The flower is 5.4 cm wide, and 4.7 cm high. Colour is quite accurate on my monitor, and it has a slight peppermint fragrance to my nose, and my parents agree that it is something similar.

From what I have heard is that it is aneuploid, so it most likely won't cross with anything. The plant is healthy, it's growing new roots and leaves, and the spike has been constantly extending for the last few months that I have had it, so it will be a consequent bloomer. Darn, I am just not sure if it is aneuploid, and the only real way to test it is to have a chromosome count, but I think that may be a bit expensive. The only other way would be to do a cross, wait several months, and then see it the pod gives me anything. I think it might be going up for sale . . . |
