keiki or spike?? Male
Default keiki or spike??

What do you guys think, keiki or spike? My wife picked this Phal from Tying Shin Orchids at the Redland festival in May. It was in bloom then, so I have a hard time believing that after only partially growing one leaf it is sending up a spike in the heat of the summer. But who knows, it could just be confused from all the environmental changes going from a greenhouse to grow lights and A/C. And I have no idea what the lineage of this Phal is, so maybe it's not the standard fall bloomer?

That's what it looked like to me too. Then I guess it's just funny timing. You think maybe repotting, changing fert, or other change of environment might have triggered it? I'm sure it is a tad cooler in my house than the greenhouse it was grown in.
